Certainly all things besides Being have their nature through another (call it desire or telos, whatever). I do not mean they get it from themselves, but they all have it. Certainly happy means something in itself without "feeling", otherwise it would be identical to "feeling", and thus the only type of feeling which I assume you agree is false. For instance qualifications of feelings can be quite properly and meaningfully used independent of feelings without reference to any feelings. E.g. "A sad state of affairs." — Dranu

If you think everyone is a hedonist, then the answer is no, there is no difference between being good or happy. The person being good is just doing what makes them happy. Which means they are just selfish with their needs. Someone who gets called bad just enjoys other things. Just a bunch of selfish people with different genes. The term good has no meaning. There are extreme forms of restrictive religion - for example some forms of Calvinism - that per se dislike enjoyment. Not just enjoyment of sex or some other specific, but actually having a good time, enjoying things, period is seen as unseemly, immoral and something to be avoided. So moralities certainly CAN do this.
