Rules for/against hot-linking images on this forum?

    When I linked a perfectly harmless, non-controversial image from my website it came up perfectly. Then I left the thread for a moment and came back and the image had disappeared and the code had been partly deleted. Was this done automatically or by a moderator? Why?

    Yes, only subscribers can upload images because we need to pay for the space, basically.
