Hi everybody, Is anybody here familiar with Plato's Philosophy? I want to discuss the Parmenides Dialogue, the passage (154-d):
"- Q: If we add an equal time to less or more time, will the more differ from the less by an equal or a smaller fraction?
    - A: A smaller".
Is there a mathematical combination to which the statement is related?

If I am 10 years old and my brother is 5 years old I am twice as old as he is. If I am 50 years old and he is 45 years old I am no longer twice as old. The older we get the less the fractional difference: 5/10, 45/50, 95/100.
