Three years, give or take. The only sure thing is if you don't, it won't. Education evolves from being a trip through the sausage factory from the POV of the sausage, to being a voyage of discovery. What I would suggest to you, though, is that, regardless as to how you feel about the cultural hegemony of the field, just ignore it and find something that you enjoy doing. What's the point of only really being able to deliver a somewhat vitrolic, but also somehow righteous, critique on Reddit? — thewonder
