I bet the second number is not larger than the first one.

People are acutely aware of those whom they intensely dislike, but are oblivious of those who intensely dislike them.

If someone hates you so much that in social discourse they may say "I want to kill him", then you only learn about that intense dislike normally when a third party tells you. Whereas your own anger is constantly dangling in front of you, you can't ignore it.

The number of people I wanted to off in my life due to angry dislike was basically just three. The ones I wanted to punish by severely beating them, was fewer than that. But I can't attest to the number of people who have disliked me so much that they would want to have killed me, or severely beat me up.

If you think about it, how do you relate to these numbers in your own experience?

Meh...I don't hate anyone. Not even people who might hate me.

Not sure why anyone would hate me as you define it, but I guess there might be one or several.
