In my mind, centrism ideally consists in a conservative core with progressive expression. This would be a theoretical endpoint which would depend on there being far less noise and divisiveness than currently exist. I think that in order to get to this place, we need to 1) move significantly left, 2) reduce the noise and divisiveness in the political environment, and 3) then gradually allow the conservative core to take form (it should be earned, not granted).

    Any thoughts?
